Then arises some memories which appear unexpectedly without any prior occurrences. The phenomenon of these unforeseen memories arising instantaneously is often called as Deja vu. Deja vu is a French word with literal meaning ‘already seen’. To be more precise, ‘Deja vu is the phenomenon of having the feeling that the situation currently being experienced has already been experienced in the past’.
People usually misinterprets deja vu as a threatening disease linked to some mental disorder. But instead, deja vu is usually a symptom of a healthy individual. According to a survey, deja vu is found to have experienced by two-thirds of the total population.Sometimes, deja vu is a sign of pathological disorders due to some physical injuries but remain nonpathological most of the times.
Usually, deja vu experiences are not shared due to lack of certainty of these events and are kept confined to our own minds. Altogether, deja vu is an exciting experience, compelling people to look back into their past and scrutinize for any such memory related to the similar event.
